Super Bowl Weekend

Gearing up for the rematch between the Patriots and Giants.  I still remember four years ago what an incredible game that was.  The Patriots entering with a perfect regular season record 16-0, Giants very much the underdog.

I also remember the hubris of Belichick and the huge feeling of depression right after the game.  I empathized with the patriots.  It must have been an awful feeling when you are on the top of the world and it topples right before your eyes.  

Reading my post from four years ago reminded me it could have been a very different ending.  But hindsight is 20/20.  I'm going for the Giants, but I know in the back of my mind, there are just too many chips on the shoulders of the Patriots to let another one slip through their hands.  And for the sake of my brother-in-law, and for the sake of my brother's friend who has a lot of money riding on the game, I'll concede a lost to the Patriots and be over with it.
